Scientist for a Day

Atlantis Marine World and the Blue Ocean Institute team up to present a 1-1/2 hour Junior Marine Biologist lab cruise aboard the Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat.

Children ages 9 – 14 have the opportunity to collect scientific data using observation methods and measurement tools employed by real scientists. Participants record their findings in a logbook and receive a Certificate of Completion signed by Long Island’s internationally acclaimed Marine Conservationist and Author, Dr. Carl Safina, Co-Founder and President of the Blue Ocean Institute.

The Scientist for a Day program is held on a periodic basis, and space is limited to 20 participants per cruise. Advance registration is required.
